I am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Politics & International Relations in the Division of Humanities at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia. I am also Director of the Macquarie University Centre for Middle East and North African Studies , which runs an MA in the Political Economy of the Modern Middle East. I also teach a number of undergraduate courses in Middle East Politics which make use of Internet-based simulations as an integral part of the learning process.
